Does PatientGain Offer Healthcare Practice Websites That I Can Own?

PatientGain offers several options that allows you to own your healthcare website, but ownership depends on your chosen service tier and payment structure. 

If you use the custom setup options, you own the website files and content, but the proprietary apps, software, and underlying HIPAA compliant servers, algorithms cannot be purchased or transferred. 

Here is how website ownership is broken down across the different options:

1. Fully Custom Website (Upfront Setup Fee)

• Ownership: You have full ownership of the WordPress website and its content once it is completed.
• Details: Prices typically start around $5,000 to $10,000+ as a one-time fee. Once built, you can choose to host the site elsewhere (like standard WordPress hosting) or continue utilizing PatientGain’s monthly marketing and SEO plans. 

2. Custom Website + PLATINUM Monthly Service

• Ownership: You own the WordPress website and content because you pay an upfront custom setup fee (typically starting at $7,000).
• Details: After the site is developed, you transition into a 12-month contract for their managed marketing, SEO, and software features. 

3. Semi-Custom Website (No Upfront Fees / Subscription)

• Ownership: You do not automatically own the platform website structure if you leave. However, you have the option to buy the website and content at a predetermined price at the end of your contract. 
• Details: This option has $0 upfront setup costs and relies on PatientGain’s pre-built, A/B-tested layouts designed to maximize conversions. 

4. Semi-Custom Website – Foundation service or Growth Service (Upfront Fees / Subscription)

• Ownership: You own the practice website WordPress if you leave.
• Details: This option has upfront setup costs and relies on PatientGain’s pre-built, A/B-tested layouts designed to maximize conversions. 

Applications, Software Ownership

Regardless of the package you purchase, PatientGain operates as a “walled garden” software platform (VaultDocSites). If you decide to migrate your website away from PatientGain, the following rules apply: 

• Patient Data: You always maintain 100% ownership of your patient data and any creative content you originally provided. 
• Domain: You always own and manage your website domain.
• Proprietary Apps & IP: You cannot purchase or transfer PatientGain’s built-in software, algorithms, or servers such as their HIPAA-compliant CRM, smart AI chatbots, 2-way texting tools, or Consent Management apps). Those will deactivate if you cancel their subscription services. 
• Custom Code: There is a lot of custom code added to the VaultDocSites solution. This code is not available for sale.
