How To Post a Review on Google

Step 1: Accessing Google+ to Write a Review

The first step to writing a review on Google+ is to either create or log into your Google+ account. If you have a Google Mail account, also known as Gmail, you can use this account to write your review. If you don’t have an existing Gmail or Google+ account, you’re going to need to create a Google+ account.

To create an account, go to http://plus.google.com. On this page, click on the “Create an account” link, located underneath the Google sign-in, to create a Google+ account. If you have a Gmail account, log into your account using your Gmail account, and then go to the Google+ page for the business you’d like to review.

Here, you will see a prompt asking if you want to upgrade your account to Google+ so you can use your existing Gmail account to access Google+ features.

Step 2: Creating Your Google+ Account

After you click on the “Create an account” link, you are brought to the first step of creating your account. Here you enter in basic information for your account, and create your username and password.

Next, you can upload a profile picture, or choose to do it later on. You are also given the option of uploading friends or contacts from your email contact list, Facebook, Yahoo, etc., in order to look them up and connect with them if they have a Google+ account. Google will also give you the option of choosing to follow people or page topics that are popular or are being followed by any of your friends on Google+.

Step 3: Finding the Business You Want to Review

Once you have created, upgraded, or logged into your Google+ account, you will find yourself on your “Home” page. From here, you can use the search bar, found on the top of your screen, to find the business you want to review. Type in the name of the business, and then click on “People and Pages” to refine the search to find the Google+ page of the business. Once you find the business you want, you can click on the “Follow” button to stay in touch with their posts, or you can simply click on the name to go to their page to write a review.

Step 4: Using Google+ to Write a Review

When writing a review on Google+, you will be giving the business a score along with written comments about the experiences you’ve had with the business. Your rating will be used to determine the overall score for the company, and your written review will be added to a publically viewable list of customer reviews.

In order to begin writing your review, first select on the number of stars that you feel best describes the quality of service you received. A good experience where you liked your service would rate at four stars, while a great experience that you loved would rate at five stars. Next, fill out any comments you might have about the company or your service experience. There’s no limit on how long your review can be, but keeping it to a paragraph or two helps to make sure that people reading the reviews (including the business itself!) will read your comments thoroughly.

Once you’re done writing your comments, simply hit the “Publish” button and your review and score is posted to the company’s Google+ listing!
